[deps] Added support for Django 6.0 and 6.1 - #792
Added Django 6.0 and 6.1 to the CI matrix for Python 3.12 and 3.13.
Fixed autocomplete filters crashing on Django 6.1, because get_queryset() on related descriptors now needs an instance argument. django-admin-autocomplete-filter has no release with a fix yet.
Fixed the changelist table showing next to the search bar instead of below it.
Removed the underline Django 6 adds to links by default.
Fixed the blue breadcrumbs bar on change pages in Django 6.1.
Moved the object tools buttons (Add, History) back to the right of the title.
Updated tests for the new empty choice label, the hidden pagination heading and the _assert_contains return value.
The admin looks the same on Django 5.2 before and after this change.
The CI matrix adds Django 6.0 and 6.1, with Python 3.10 and 3.11 excluded. AutocompleteFilter uses related models’ base-manager querysets for specified relationship descriptors. ReadOnlyAdmin.get_actions accepts an optional action location. The changelist template gains a wrapper, and admin CSS updates link, form, breadcrumb, and object-tools styling. Admin and Selenium tests update queryset and rendered-content assertions.
Desktop validation errors can appear before their field labels on Django 6.1. This is a bounded usability regression; the remaining test and CI configuration concerns warrant owner follow-up.

Explanation
The title uses the required [deps] prefix and states the main change: adding support for Django 6.0 and 6.1. The CI matrix change for those versions is the core of the change set, and linked issue #788 asks for the same. The title does not mention the admin fixes or the autocomplete filter workaround, but those are secondary to the main objective.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template. It keeps the checklist, the linked issue (Closes #788), the description of changes, and the screenshot section. All checklist items are marked, and the documentation item is marked N/A. The description explains the CI matrix change, the Django 6.1 autocomplete fix, the changelist layout fix, the link underline removal, the breadcrumb fix, the object tools move, and the test updates. It does not say which documentation was reviewed, but the N/A marking is acceptable.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #788 requires Django 6.0 and 6.1 in CI only with Python 3.12 and 3.13, plus compatible dependency handling. .github/workflows/ci.yml adds both versions and excludes Python 3.10 and 3.11. setup.py contains no Django constraint that blocks Django 6. The AutocompleteFilter compatibility method handles the Django 6.1 descriptor API. The updated tests cover the compatibility behavior and Django 6 output changes.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes remain within Issue #788. The CI matrix, autocomplete compatibility code, admin CSS and template changes, ReadOnlyAdmin API handling, and test updates address Django 6 compatibility or its resulting admin changes. No unrelated change is demonstrated.

Explanation
The PR changes visible admin UI in openwisp.css and change_list.html, but the authored description lists the screenshot as N/A and includes no before-and-after screenshots or recording. The PR adds Django 6.0 and 6.1 support, but the diff contains no documentation update. Regression tests are present for the autocomplete behavior and affected admin output.
Resolution
Add before-and-after screenshots or a screen recording to the PR description. Add documentation for Django 6.0 and 6.1 support and update affected admin-theme documentation where the changed behavior is documented.

29-30: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality
The documentation-update concern is not supported by the inspected repository. The comment's premise, that the project's support documentation lists the old Django range, does not hold. The inspected files show no such list, so no documentation edit is required by the cited guideline.
The repository designates .github/workflows/ci.yml as the source for supported Django versions. AGENTS.md:18 states: "Use .github/workflows/ci.yml for CI-tested dependencies, QA/test commands, env vars, and supported Python/Django versions." The matrix change itself is therefore the supported-version declaration in this repository. The comment does not identify any separate document that conflicts with it.
The case-insensitive search across *.md, *.rst, and setup.py found no statement that lists supported Django versions:
The only Django version-support statement is historical: CHANGES.rst:551 reads "Added support for Django 4.1.x and 4.2.x". This is a changelog entry, not a current support list.
docs/developer/*.rst hits, such as docs/developer/test-utilities.rst:40, link to Django 5.2 reference documentation. They do not declare supported versions.
setup.py:15-19 and setup.py:84-86 show extras and install_requires entries, but no Django version classifiers or Django pin appear in the matched output.
The cited external link, docs.djangoproject.com/en/6.1/releases/6.1/, is upstream Django documentation. It does not document this project's support range.
Limitation: the search covered only the glob patterns listed above. A support statement in another file type, such as a .txt or .cfg file, would not appear in the output. That gap does not change the result, because the repository's own guidance names ci.yml as the supported-version source.
- Dropped Django 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 from the CI matrix since they reached end of life.
- Kept form labels beside fields and the breadcrumb text size on Django 6.1.
- Added action_location to ReadOnlyAdmin.get_actions() for Django 6.1.

## Development Rules
- Before adding a comment or docstring, ask whether it conveys information a reader cannot reasonably infer from clear code, names, and surrounding scope. Add a concise comment when it explains a non-obvious reason, constraint, compatibility or security requirement, side effect, or unavoidable complexity. In opaque syntax or domain-specific code, especially shell scripts, a comment may also explain what the code does. Do not add comments that merely restate adjacent code one-to-one.

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Keep validation errors with their field label.
On Django 6.1, an invalid field renders its label, help text, error list, and input in that order. At widths of 768px or more, order: -1 displays the error list before the label. This makes the visible error harder to associate with its field and makes visual order differ from reading order. Remove the negative order, or change the markup and CSS together so the two orders agree. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
