Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

When a client connects to OpenSearch behind an HAProxy or istio or any other proxy / load balancer, the source ip address that arrives to OpenSearch is the one from the load balancer.

This is problematic for ip address based policies.

Describe the solution you'd like

Support for proxy protocol version 1 and 2 would be highly useful to allow OpenSearch to sit behind an HAProxy or istio or any other proxy / load balancer.
