Describe the issue you're reporting

I'd like to nominate myself as a triager for this repo. Over the years I've:

• contributed 29 PRs to this repo: link
• Been codeowner of 5 components in the contrib, including 50+ reviews: link
• Contributed to other areas of OpenTelemetry (Java, Java instrumentation, Semantic convention)

My team at Atlassian utilise the collector heavily, and given that we no longer have a representative, it would be great for me to get involved. Thankyou!
