While referencing figure in provided link DataTransfer-ELB, EC2 -> CLB/ALB shows .01 Cross AZ..as per my understanding - Data Transfer (in/Out) from EC2-ELB is free for Regional Data Transfer. https://aws.amazon.com/elasticloadbalancing/faqs/

Well spotted! The NLB charges for this, the other two don't. I admit this thing is a bear to update; I've been tweaking the version that lives at https://www.duckbillgroup.com/understanding-data-transfer-in-aws/.

Someone wanna take a crack at updating the OG-AWS diagram? :D
