Investigate the feasibility of category search

We want the ability to return a filtered version of the category list based on a search query. This will necessitate traversing the entire tree, so will require some rethinking of how we handle database queries in the handlers (queries inside loops are bad).

We should also be mindful about future requirements to filter by image colours, tags, etc.
