I run a few Java applications on the current LTS release; e.g., OpenGrok, Gerrit, and of course the most critical, the Minecraft server. I was trying to upgrade the Minecraft server today and I realise it has been compiled for OpenJDK 21 instead of 17. This felt unsporting until I discovered that 21 is actually the current LTS release.
Do you think it would be reasonable to make OpenJDK 21 available on r151046 LTS as well as on the current stable? Allegedly it will be supported until at least September 2028, which is well after the 046 LTS EOS at May 2026.

It would be ideal if we could get this done soon, as Gerrit 3.11.X (the current stable version series) expects to run on JDK 21, and we use OmniOS LTS bits for the infrastructure there.
