Here are the modding instructions for using 50k digi pot instead of the 10k digi pot. Recommended is to use the 10k digi pot, but if you really can't source it, then the 50k solution bellow is an option.
Basically you need to do 1 mod on Afterburner board and and 2 mods on MT3608 module.
The R2 on Afterburner board has to be removed and replaced by 20k Ohm resistor
The pot on the MT3608 module has to be desoldered and a 1Meg Ohm resistor placed in between the middle and the right pin hole (while looking at the top side of the MT3608 module). When using the old type of MT3608 module the other 2 pot pins need to be shorted (the new type of MT3608 module has those pins already shorted).
The SMT 2k2 resistor on the MT3608 module has to be replaced by 100k Ohm.

I tried it with MCP4151-503, but it should work equally with MCP 4131-503.
