Expected Behavior

I expected OBS Studio to stop recording and finalize the video file.

Current Behavior

OBS Studio crashed, and the video file (MKV) appears to be lacking audio.

Steps to Reproduce

Unknown. I am not certain what specific steps could be followed the reproduce the crash. It may be plugin related, it may be driver related, etc.

Anything else we should know?

I was using ReShade with the AutoHDR addon to record the game in HDR. I was also using MSI Afterburner/RTSS to display a framerate counter in-game.

Game was Mafia II Definitive Edition (D3D11) in Borderless Window mode, and OBS Studio was set to capture any fullscreen application. No other capture tools were running at the time.

I was using a custom FFmpeg command to encode HDR video.

Installed NVIDIA display driver version = 566.14

AV = Malwarebytes 5.2.2.154 (Steam, game, drivers, and MSI Afterburner/RTSS are excluded)

Razer Synapse 4 is installed (I have no clue if this matters, but I haven't used OBS Studio since installing it).

I just noticed that the devices for Desktop and Mic audio were not set (probably due to drivers having been reinstalled). After fixing this, I am (thus far) no longer experiencing crashing.
