NZBGet Version

v24.3-stable

Platform

NAS/Synology/QNAP

Environment

QNAP ARM X41 version

Current Behavior

When upgrading from 24.2 build to 24.3, NZBGet is unresponsive. Full de-install and re-install works. Trying to restore settings from earlier config works only on some items. As soon as I want to restore RSS feeds, NZBget becomes unresponsive after Reload. Only full de-install helps, as permissions are set in a way that I can not delete nzbget.conf.qnap from my admin account, even when NZBGet is not running.

Expected Behavior

Well, it should not crash as soon as I restore my old RSS feeds or simply upgrade from 24.2 to 24.3 :-)

Steps To Reproduce

Either: Simply upgrade a running 24.3 version to 24.4 - no Webui, no response after Restart
Or: Install 24.4 and try to Restore RSS feeds from 24.3 (or earlier) installation

Regarding the permissions: looks like the QPKG is built with 1000:1000 (ubuntu:ubuntu)

In QTS, QPKGs are typically installed and run as 0:0

A chown in the pkg_post_install() function in package_routines would fix this. 🤓

e.g:

pkg_post_install(){

chown -R 0:0 $(getcfg nzbget Install_Path -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf)

}

@Kugelblitz360
Thank you for the report but I couldn't able to reproduce the bug.
Could you maybe send me your nzbget.conf to my email ([email protected]) so I can try to reproduce it with your settings?
