Thanks for considering strax in your test suite! I just tried this in a fresh python 3.7 conda environment on my laptop:

git clone --single-branch --branch stable  https://github.com/AxFoundation/strax
cd strax
python setup.py test

Currently it will fail on Windows, but this should be fixed in the next release.
