Confounds contain one row more than there are TRs in the image

What happened?

This is the first time I encountered this problem. My runs contain 289 TRs. Yet, in one participant, for two runs, the confounds files contain 290 rows of data (not including the header). What seems relevant is that in both problematic runs, FD plot indicates big head motions at the end of the run. I'm happy to share data files if it might help.
