I think that STK is a very nice product, with a nice UI. But to be honnest, I think that you should change some part of the global behaviour of the application.
As we can see on the issues-list, Cryptocurrencies seems bee a "observable" resource. So, IMHO, you should avoid the "complexity", thinking about shapes unless thinking about kind.
My main goal about STK, as an user, is to see mutation on progression reporting. So, cryptocurrencies and stock should have the "same shape". What is my proposition :
As an user, I can "watch" some "observables ressources" (Apple Action, Bitcoin, Tezos) and I can see
their progression on a global graph. After, I can see "the individual progression of a resource" and why not create a "run" between some shapes. (For example, Apple versus Amazon versus IBM).
