Set/Remember positions of windows

1. Remembering Window Positions Across Workspaces

Would it be possible for the window manager to remember the position of windows when they are moved between workspaces? Currently, if a window is moved to another workspace or hidden, its previous position is forgotten when the window is moved back to the original workspace.

2. CLI Command for Setting Window Position

Would it be possible to introduce a CLI command for setting window positions? This would enable basic preset management via scripting, allowing users to organize their windows in a structured way at startup. Having this functionality would greatly improve workflow efficiency by restoring a predefined window layout automatically.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these suggestions. Thanks for all the great work on Aerospace Windows Manager!

I second this number (2). Cannot live without Aerospace anymore.

I have 3 screens and I already use the move-node-to-workspace command on startup to move all my apps to my preferred screens. After this I always do the same commands for all my apps, e.g: make a small accorion of all my chat apps, another bigger accordion for my DB/API apps etc. Would be awesome if an app could open in a predefined accordion stack with the correct orientation within a workspace. 🙏
