Adding a directory doesn't help, changing the texture doesn't help, nothing helps. Every single Nif is imported either invisible or nonexistent in Nifskope (as in the tree is there, but the model itself is not visible). What could cause this? I have textures and all visibility buttons turned on. It has a tree, it shows where the texture is supposed to be, what the name of it is, and even sometimes a mesh can be clicked on which shows as a green wireframe. But nothing else works. I can't view anything. I'd really like for this to work and not have to open Blender just to import a Nif for viewing. Nifskope was working just last week and now nothing works in it.

Which game is it? There have been updates to Fallout 4 and Starfield (and to a lesser extent Fallout 76) in the last few months that break the current official versions of NifSkope. In the meanwhile, I have a fork here that addresses those issues.
Other than the above, make sure that resource settings are correctly configured.
