Please convert the yellow Lyx notes (the "default" notes, because they have their own icon in the Review toolbar) into Crefs.

Yes, this would be great. Of course, general change tracking will be very difficult to show in xml2rfc, which has no such concept :(

However a more native lyx2rfc approach that renders directly or which perhaps generates a new .lyx with metadata expanded and then uses LyX to do final typesetting, would allow us to render just about everything that LyX can.
