App Crashing

When I launch the app, I see the icon appear in my Menubar but then it just goes away after a few seconds.

Hi! After symbolicating the crash log you sent me, it seems like the file watchers fail.

FSWatcher.startMonitoring(_:behaviour:) (in PHP Monitor) (PhpConfigWatcher.swift:95)

This is a rather interesting bug, because it seems one of your files are potentially not readable?

For context, watchers are set up for all .ini files in your Homebrew PHP configuration folder (for the linked PHP version). This is done to monitor those files for changes: if you change one of the properties then PHP Monitor would instantly reload. It appears that the app crashed while setting up one or more of these.

On my system those files are, for example:

["/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/php.ini", "/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/conf.d", "/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/conf.d/php-memory-limits.ini", "/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/conf.d/xdebug.ini", "/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/conf.d/ext-opcache.ini", "/opt/homebrew/etc/php/8.1/conf.d/error_log.ini"]

On your system, because you're on Intel (x86 architecture in your crash log), the files checked will be in /usr/local/homebrew/etc/php/x.x/php.ini and the directory /usr/local/homebrew/etc/php/x.x/conf.d. (x.x = depending on your PHP version).

Do these exist? Any reason why these wouldn't be accessible? I suspect one of these files of folders is missing?

I hadn't noticed that brew postinstall php was failing... somehow my /usr/local/etc/php folder was owned by root and preventing things from finalizing - which included placing the php.ini and the php-fpm.ini files in the proper place

Wow. Oh, boy did reading through this thread make me realize how screwed-up my dev php installation was. I followed the steps outlined, and everything's working now, but it's amazing that Valet was even able to run at all before this. Thank you for the detailed procedures!
