Unable to select any folder as map root on SD card

I would like to be able to set the location where my GIS features, attachments and tracks are stored. ie, on my memory card. This is for space considerations as well as bypassing the export/share process.

i see that each layer, in the settings under general has the "Local path" listed but it is not editable. Also how would one open / convert manually the features stored in data/com.nextgis.mobile/files/map/vector_x

To set data location path you need in settings go to Map tab and select Map path.

Map path (here you can specify a path where map and layers data will be stored).

Oh but there is this Note:

"For devices with several SD cards and Android 4.4 and higher, map path not on the main SD card can only be specified in the application home directory and its subdirectories (for example: Android/data/com.nextgis.mobile). This is also true for some devices without root access. Read-only folders won’t show up in path selection dialog."

i am unable to select any folder on my SD card.
