mail like layout with formatting toolbar for typing longer messages #17199

Hi, have been monitoring NC for a long time now and may actually make the jump.
One feature that is still lacking IMO is the ability to have a 'mail like experience' when needing to type longer text and where screen estate is important. This can hardly be done in a chat like app as Talk.
This is actually the reason why many people ask me to write a classic email and not drop attached files in chat apps or write endless chat bubbles that give them numb thumbs...
The ability for such a mail-like experience with formatting toolbar would fill a void allowing for 'in-house' E2EE messages between NC users (either from the same server or between users from federated NC instances) without having to resort to non-encrypted SMTP mails.
Sure, there's workarounds for this, as plugins such as mailvelope, virtru or others, but that's an extra step many people aren't willing to make. They prefer OOB solutions (as me).
It could be a standalone app, to ensure people understand this isn't a regular SMTP mail nor a chat, or integrated as an option in the existing Mail app or Talk app.
