Which Nextcloud Version are you currently using: 29.0.1

Currently, when a guest joins a chat shared by a link, he must enter their name each visit.

Describe the solution you'd like
Remember entered username by a cookie.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Alternatively, allow generation of invite URLs with pre-entered username.

That's planned in the long run. Ref #6098

Remember entered username by a cookie.

It's stored in the browser storage already. When it's not loaded also a cookie wouldn't work anymore.

Can't get it to work. Does it mean it's something wrong with my setup?

What do you mean by "Can't get it to work"?
Are you testing in a private window?

Just tested again. It works on Firefox.
Doesn't work on Chromium. Just a regular window, not private. Most "guests" use Chrome.
