While users can currently see the number of downloads for a public link in the activity tab, this information is buried and requires extra navigation. As a result, users must actively look for engagement data instead of accessing it faster, which slows down common workflows and reduces visibility into how shared content is being used.
For instance, a user who wants to know whether a shared document was accessed recently must open the activity tab and manually interpret the data. This is inefficient, especially for users who frequently share content and need quick confirmation.
