No

Describe the solution you'd like
Unlike the files in the user folder, we can't generate the files' metadata in the group folder. This functionality will be helpful in the Nextcloud restore scenario.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Move the files to the user folder, run the sudo -u www-data php ./occ groupfolders:scan --all --generate-metadata to restore the metadata and move them back to the group folder.

Additional context

Other apps like files_external are missing this functionality as well, so this might evolve into a server issue.
