Describe your suggested feature

It would be cool to be able customize the app icon.
With the recent update came a new app icon, and while It is a very cool icon, its not really my style and I do prefer the last one.
I've seen some apps like reddit offer the ability to customize the app icon so it should be doable, though personally I've never attempted it myself so am unsure how complex it is.

This could store all previous app icons as options and it would be a good way to add seasonal or other stylized app icons for some extra customizable flair, and then let people opt in or opt out as they see fit. (as a fun feature creep addition, allow the user to "upload" their own custom made app icon)
Would be a cool nice to have :)

the new icon looks hostile/demonic. the old icon looked peaceful. i dislike the new icon, prefer revert to original or some third option.

I implemented a test version of this and its very meh, I can't configure the splash screen based on the icon chosen so this looks really bad

The Reddit app doesn't do that either. I would guess that that level of customisation is probably not possible.
IMO it would still be nice to have. Since it's mainly about the home screen style rather than the in app experience.

I would assume that the notification icon doesn't change as well, but I don't particularly have an opinion on that since it's currently quite minimal.
