Stage sometimes presents incorrect entries

This defect was not fully characterized at the time. The result of stage_list_position sometimes returns recently created or renamed entries at an incorrect position. The set of tags listed at a position changed as I made new tags and renamed tags, but I only observed the incorrect listing in one location: at a tag named rfc with id 369. The tags added were only added to a subdirectory off of the root, but I cannot say whether creating tags at a more deeply nested directory or at the root would not also cause the defect.
