Issue type

Import/export issue

Description with steps to reproduce

Describe the bug

The note allocation between left and right hands when importing MIDI files looks strange, generating a lot of temporary G clefs and F clefs. A screenshot is pasted below for demonstration. I think there's an intended algorithm, but I have completely no idea why it behaves like this.

To Reproduce

  1. Create a single-track MIDI file with a DAW (Cakewalk by Bandlab is used here specifically)
  2. Import the MIDI file

Expected behavior

I guess a more common and simple approach would be to split from the Middle C (Guitar Pro uses this approach, but it has other MIDI import issues)? Although it might not work perfectly, it seems like there isn't any other easy ways.

What is the latest version of MuseScore Studio where this issue is present?

Operating system

Windows 11

Additional context

I've seen quite a lot of issues related to MIDI import, and it takes great effort to manually resolve the formatting problems. It would greatly improve the working efficiency if MIDI import functionalities are more enhanced.

The issue still exists even if the MIDI file is exported from another Musescore project.
