Makes a lot of sense to me! Related thinking is that we're exploring the idea of mobile first UI. Perhaps as we build that out things like this become more of a desktop concern? I do like the idea of defaults that suit tablets at least though! Thanks for raising. |

agree - that's a neat idea. we've talked about default column sets more generally too - that countries may wish to define which columns are shown by default. I wonder if the two ideas can be folded in together? |

Testing mobile and OMS on android side by side has given some insight:
(SM-X200 10.5")
(emulator, but scaled to about the same 10.1)
Hiding the first 3 columns feels great because in OMS you can start seeing the actual numbers when you open an invoice!
I've just done this by configuring the columns when viewing the invoice. It does remember my column selection which is neat! But it'd be great to not have to train users if this is an intuitive default way to have things. Or something that can be configured that can be configured on deployment based on the particular needs of the client. I've heard thoughts about centrally controlled columns, relating to Preferences KDD #5729, perhaps that plays a role.
