Reproduction Steps

run a command with mpv to watch a youtube video
I used mpv --no-config 'https://youtube.com/watch?v=UoG23lWJ7bU'
go into fullscreen
the entire screen flickers very slightly between a bright yellow tinge to a darker purple tinge

Expected Behavior

video playback with no flicker

Actual Behavior

video playback with flicker

I carefully read all instruction and confirm that I did the following:

• I tested with the latest mpv version to validate that the issue is not already fixed.
• I provided all required information including system and mpv version.
• I produced the log file with the exact same set of files, parameters, and conditions used in "Reproduction Steps", with the addition of --log-file=output.txt.
• I produced the log file while the behaviors described in "Actual Behavior" were actively observed.
• I attached the full, untruncated log file.
• I attached the backtrace in the case of a crash.

does --gpu-api=vulkan do anything? Does setting export KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 in your .profile or something before starting KDE do anything?

I can reproduce this issue on the latest version of kwin (namely 6.2.2-1) on ArchLinux.

Unfortunately, there is no change in the flickering even after applying the environment variables.
