Putting a Calendar on your site will remind people that:
a. You care about and are organised in dates/events! (none of that double-booking fiasco from last year!! 💸 🔥 😢)
b. You have existing bookings i.e. social proof
c. You have an easy/intuitive system for taking/managing bookings
D. You have extremely limited available spaces and their "Big Date" could be taken any moment - so you create a sense of urgency to book!
Note: I'm very aware of the counter-argument to having the calendar.
Namely: that it lowers the tone from "aspirational" or "exclusive" venue to "business".
But I urge you to think about this from the perspective of the person - young bride-to-be - doing their venue research.
Your objective is to answer as many questions up-front as possible before they have to waste their/your time with phone calls or back-and-forth emails.
IMO: you should A/B test showing the calendar feature and request feedback from:
Past successfully married couples - i.e. the captive audience newsletter subscribers (happily married couples)
who don't mind answering a quick survey question as they reminisce about their special day.
Prospective brides. e.g. go to where the brides are. e.g. online forum and ask the question:
"Does displaying a calendar on a wedding venue website add value when you are researching potential venues?"
