Sometimes I want to manually fade in a channel volume up to a certain amount, say from -infinity to -5dB, because the "right" full volume for that specific channel is -5dB. However it's very difficult to reach that exact value by ears without any visual clue. So my idea is to introduce an optional limit to the channel volume. In my example I would set that limit to -5dB. When the volume reaches that value, it is simply prevented to raise any further.
