Give context for NORD cross-references #8588
Comments
@galyea123 @skm16 could you provide a way we can resolve NORD cross references on the NORD website please? I totally forgot to ask you this, but now that we have all these great cross references, no one can use them to cross into your resource.. Like: https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/1693 to redirect to https://rarediseases.org/mondo-disease/alpha-n-acetylgalactosaminidase-deficiency/? This will generate a lot of traffic for you as a lot of resources use Mondo cross-references to link to additional data. @cthoyt NORD ids are NORDs internal identifiers and are afaik only available through some.. datadumps? @galyea123 can clarify. FYI @cthoyt @galyea123 and @skm16 are the idspace owners as well. |
@matentzn - Absolutely - Pass ?p= as a param. For context, we are using WP as our CMS. The IDs represent the autogenerated post_id (int) |

@matentzn<https://github.com/matentzn> - Absolutely - Pass ?p= as a param.
For example - <https://rarediseases.org/?p=1693>
In this case, the ID / domain should resolve to https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/schindler-disease/
For context, we are using WP as our CMS. The IDs represent the autogenerated post_id (int)

Fantastic! @cthoyt does this answer your question? Anything you want me to do on bioregistry side? |

NORD isn't currently registered in the Bioregistry, but it appears in many MONDO records. I wasn't able to find any evidence of the NORD IDs that appear. For example, http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/MONDO_0017779 for alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase deficiency (Schindler disease) could correspond to https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/schindler-disease/ or https://rarediseases.org/mondo-disease/alpha-n-acetylgalactosaminidase-deficiency/, but I don't see NORD:1693 mentioned anywhere on either NORD page.
Where do these numeric identifiers come from?
