What parts of Modrinth is your feature request related too?

App

Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

When linked to a modpack, the following mod management features are not available:

  • Checking for mod updates
  • Filtering installed mods by Mods, Shaders, etc...
  • Changing the platform version (i.e. upgrading the Fabric version used)

Accessing any of these features requires first unlinking the modpack which prevents automatically checking for modpack updates. To be able to access these features and keep the modpack up-to-date, one would need to have a second instance downloaded of the modpack that can be checked separately. Alternatively, any update checks would have to be manual.

Describe the solution you'd like

The solution would be to allow for all of these features to be available without unlinking the modpack or for there to be a way to check for a new version for the modpack after unlinking it.

Describe alternatives you've considered

It's locked when it's linked because it may break the modpack. The proper way to update the modpack is to wait for the author to update it instead. You can unlink it and update the mods at your own risk though
