Looks like the function addLinksToTables doesn't work anymore after Mode updated the table visualization

I have the same problem now too. Is there a workaround? Or an ability to use the old "Display Table"?

FYI if someone is coming across this in the future, I realized Mode added the URL option as a drop down in the "Table" chart. So when you create a "Table", click on the column to highlight. In the top right there's a drop down to format, and one of the options is URL.

This is actually pretty neat and way easier than it was before. One drawback is that the column has to be a text of URL, you can't add hyperlinks to shortened text, but that's OK for my purposes.

This is a pretty big drawback IMO---I would very much appreciate if the former functionality were added back such that urls [which are long and often undesirable to show to users if you're trying to maintain a compact table] can be used as would an href

+1 to what myhnes-shopify said above. Not being able to hide the URL itself and display a text link instead is a big step backwards. I'd love to be able to have short text links pointing to long ugly URLs in the new table chart.

Was there ever a resolution on this? Im trying to hyperlink email addresses and its super ugly now that i have to show the "malito:" prefix

We no longer support legacy Display tables where the alamode function was once applied. Therefore, the addLinksToTable() has not been supported since then.

Like VincentLa mentioned above, it is still possible to have clickable URLs in tables. The new report tables have a formatting option that allows you to set columns as URL types. But they do require the column to be formatted in an URL format.

I could see why you may think it's a drawback with not being able to customize what's shown. Since our chart tables are still fairly "new", our product team is definitely taking feedback and hopefully, we could create some sort of workaround similar to the alamode function.

Another possible option, for now, is to use Python.

coming across this same issue right now and wondering if there have been any changes since? trying to hyperlink the headline of articles without having to actually show the URL
