Hmm, it seems like the method i'm attempting to implement is not suitable for this library. I also just tested the custom token example and it works great too. Curious, is it safe to hardcode stuff like service account credentials in the sketch? |

Every client uses service account JSON file e.g. Android and iOS. This is recommended by Google. As I said, custom token is not auth token but it used in token exchanging process to get the id token. This kind of token (custom token) used when admin want to authenticate itself as a user. The OAuth2.0 token also used in token exchanging process to get access token. The id and access tokens are the auth token that used in authentication to the service API endpoint. |

The library tries to hide the complexities of authentication task behind. The library allows you to add custom claims and user id as provided by Admin SDK and the token generated by other system (using Admin SDK) is not necessary. |
