We seem to have lost the cmake structures used to build Moai on Linux -- they're present in bjorn/moai-beta/, but the source tree (esp. src/aku) appears to have changed too much to make it easy for a newcomer (I did try!) to bring 'em up to date. Is this something we're likely to get back in the near future, or should I write off the ability to run my Moai projects under Linux? Or is there something I'm missing...?

Hi. You're right - there have been a lot of changes and keeping up with them isn't easy. That said, Linux is definitely on our radar and we do hope to officially support it at some point, but at the moment that's a lower priority than some of the other work on our plates. I can't give you an exact date, but I can tell you that support for Linux is on our radar. Feel free to keep checking back with me and/or keep an eye on the SDK releases on getmoai.com for updates.

Linux support would be nice. At the moment I'm using Love2D but I'd love to use Moai. I need it to run on Linux though.

Linux support is working in spacepluks branch:

It is very nice to be using Linux for my MOAI projects. The Mac only needs to sit there, grumpy, acting as a build server, while my right proper Linux workstation is pressed into action. :)
