Hmm, weird, had a quick glance through the code and I can't see anything that would cause this. The Hudson URL setting is just one string among a few that are concatenated to build the message, i.e. there's no fancy parsing going on. To confirm this is an issue with the plugin, could you try using the campfire api directly to post a message containing a url with port from your jenkins server using curl and see if that works ok.
BTW, this fork of the campfire plugin has been merged back into the official repository. You should really upgrade to the latest version available from https://github.com/jenkinsci/campfire-plugin, and, if the problem persists, open a new issue there.
I specified a global setting like:
https://build.site.com:8080/
and the url sent to Campfire is:
https:build.site.com/jobs/my.job
:(
