running speed with different number of threads

Have you tested the running speed using different number of threads?
1, 2, 4, 8, 16 or something like that?

I have tested it and using multiple threads speeds things up (up to 1.7 x on my cpu and gpu for 16 threads). It would be better but python's threading isn't real threading.
