Custom Text Block in Footer

It would be nice to be able to add a custom text block to the footer, in addition to the link columns. I have some legal text that needs to be rendered on each page, and there is no way to natively add it in an easy-to-use way, like via the Dashboard. Thanks!

Hi there, thanks for the link. You don't happen to have a sample script though, do you? I'm not too versed in CSS, thus the request for a simple text field entry in the Dashboard.
