run without interaction, specify returned format, truncate message #11

This is almost the tool I've been looking for. A few things would make it far more functional for me (and might be more old school geek modular friendly).

  1. I'd love to be able to run the command non-interactively, thusly: convert-color ff6600 hsl. Not only simpler but allows me to chain/pipe it with other commands.
  2. I only use hsl and only use the format hsl(### ##% ##% / #.#), e.g. hsl(200 50% 40% / 0.7) so it would be nice to be able to adjust the output format.
  3. I don't need a verbose message upon success, just the value returned, though auto-copying it to the clipboard is a nice touch.

Excellent. I'm only a retired web guy doing some automation for my own convenience and entertainment, but if I can be of any assistance, I'm delighted to help.

Kept digging, found this script that I massacred to suite my needs:

but using a less complex method like yours would be preferable.
