I succeeded in installing 38 on a 2018 I5 MBP that has a hardware problem and doesn't really work on MacOS now. Installing Fedora is a great way to repurpose and old Intel Mac. Thanks for this.
I have a couple of questions:
The ReadMe takes me to a page that says I need to extract the Mac firmware to get the Bluetooth and Wifi working. The Bluetooth is working without this, but the Wifi doesn't seem to work. Or am I missing something? Not sure I will be able to get back in MacOS to extract the firmware so that's why I want to clarify. The WiFi would generate less heat than the USB ethernet device which would be preferable for my dodgy Mac.
Just to be clear, your ISOs are hardwired to boot either in KDE or GNOME. I wanted to use open box-kde but didn't succeed. I was able to turn off the DE and boot into it with startx and also install XFCE and use that via startx but not via the Desktop Switcher. Is this correct behaviour?
When booting straight into the command line the default resolution is too high, but I can't figure out how to change this. Is this also hardwired?
Cheers and thanks
Mike
