To be able to duplicate manga/entries

Describe your suggested feature

Let's say I have a whole magazine from E-Hentai in a single entry, I would like to be able to duplicate that entry to be able to keep a better order of the works of the artists in it, since some magazines (in this example) usually have several artists and sometimes I want to keep track of various artists but inevitably the individual magazine makes it complicated

I searched through issues and it looks like this is new, but I'm not sure

That method seems awfully inconvenient for something so simple if several categories would be needed
I suppose it wouldn't be that bad as a temporary solution tho

I think what you're asking for is more inconvenient.

Duplicating something would just be a duplicate, and you'd still have the same artists details & chapters (and what happens when one and/or dupe gets updated?). If whatever source has the artists listed as the scanlator (if they were that detailed) for each individual chapter, then that would fall into filtering scanlators/groups. Throwing all your porn into one or two categories (Hentai, and idk Must Bust), then you'll have control of what entries are in each category, and you could search for artist & see the finer results in that category (for gooning favorites or whatever)

If this is for your local source, then something as simple as creating a new series (with the artist's name) & dumping all their chapters into said local series.

I meant it for entries like this (non-h) (or this if you don't mind the nipples), no chapters no filtering no nothing

Getting updates from E-H is rare, so it's not really a concern
On the other hand, if the user duplicates some other entry that does update then that's their own matter, this issue is intended for better ordering of library entries
Also, all this boils down to managing everything in a category excluded from updates, all this would also make it unnecessary to have several of them

Not to mention that over time the categories would pile up and more than anything they would just be redundant
After all, many in a single entry and chapter is what caused this issue

First example has no metadata to speak of, so you're on your own anyway with that. Either convert to Local Source / Self-Host and populate it yourself or go the Categories route.

For the second one, you can still search for any of the artists names on your library screen

Long story short, ask your extension maintainer to support this madness by letting you specify ignorable garbage to whatever it uses as ID.

It just occurred to me that I could use the search to filter the artists in this scenario, sigh
I thought the search in Mihon didn't look through descriptions, this comes in handy so ig that's it

Although I'd rather leave it to a dev to close this issue anyway, after all despite the searching solution there would still be a bit of a disorder resulting, not to mention that some entries may lack details even if they're as simple as artist names and editing is not possible here yet
