Conda & vs-code

After the integrated terminal is invoked with conda environment (ctrl+shift+P) there is a terminal and conda seems working fine but its indication (base) is not shown or I can't switch for another virtual environment - just base works...

How can I enable another conda environment?
How can I get an indication of what the environment is active?

We run conda activate for you if you have a conda environment selected (see https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/python/environments#_where-the-extension-looks-for-environments on how we look for environments). If that isn't happening then my assumption is you didn't select a conda environment.

Another option is if you launch VS Code from an activated conda environment we should pick that environment up automatically.
