Strange vertical transparent line appears when "Hide the title bar" is off #18327

  1. Settings / Appearance / Hide the title bar (requires relaunch) -> OFF
  2. Relaunch

Expected Behavior

No response

Actual Behavior

Strange vertical transparent line appears on the right side of the terminal.

(The line disappears in screenshots, so I had to take a photo with my phone.)

Thanks for filing! I wasn't able to get a repro, so I've got a few questions for you:

  • Does this repro if you use WT Preview?
  • What's your OS scale set to (in the Settings app > System > Display > Scale)?
  • Can you share your settings.json /?

FYI: Most of the team is off for the holidays, so we might not get back to you until the new year.

EDIT: we suspect that this is the window frame peeking through. If anybody wants to try and take this on, the relevant code would be in the IslandWindow and NonClientIslandWindow files.

I noticed that the line appears only if the window is large enough (width > ~110 columns, height > ~40 rows). You can try to maximize the window to see it.
