Steps to recreate:

  • Connect Moodle [Admin] user to OneDrive user - (more on the severe complications of this to follow)
  • Goto https://login.microsoftonline.com/ and logout of connected OneDrive user.
  • Revisit Moodle as same user and create a new File resource
  • In Filepicker choose o365 OneDrive repository, navigate to file and add resource as link.

Expected behaviour:

  • Anyone with access to the Moodle file link resource can click on link and shared onedrive file will open (as per appearance settings)
  • Checking file shared link permissions in OneDrive shows permission Anyone with the link can view.

Actual Behaviour:

  • Anyone with access to the Moodle file link resource can click on link BUT they are prompted to sign in to MS with Tenant/Organisation account or will not be able to open file.
  • Checking file shared link permissions in OneDrive shows permission People in Org/Tenant with the link can view.

Questions:

  • Is this plugin expected to work for users regularly signed into multiple MS accounts (Either via Onedrive/sharepoint Desktop integration, windows user, or web browser users)?
  • Can I help with testing please?
