My name is Steve Harris. I've been waiting for the day when Microsoft simplified (at least simplified it for the lightweight coders like me) the code end of the Agent continuum and it's here - nice going Microsoft.

I am working on basics in MAF and have it working with an Ollama deployment on my EC2 instance with 24B Mistal Latest and to be honest I have not had any luck getting the tools to be used (I have a docling MCP server setup and simply trying to get the Agent to call the docling MCP server to parse a file is failing) - conversation with the Ollama models is working fine. If anyone wants to take a look the code is here: https://github.com/steveh250/MAF/blob/main/MAF-Agent-MCP.py

Tried playing around with different models, Chat and Assistants, putting the tools definitions in various places in the code - without any luck.

My name is Evan Caswell. I’m currently transitioning into a career in software engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence applications. My background is in the construction industry, but I recently completed a bachelor’s degree in data science and have been programming as a hobby for nearly 20 years.

After experimenting with various LLM frameworks and even writing my own abstractions, I came across Agent Framework, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. I’ve already used it to implement several automated workflows at my current company, including document handling and email prioritization/summarization.

I’m excited to engage with this community, learn from others, and continue refining my skills as I work toward becoming a full-time AI focused developer.
