Where is the translation dashboard?

Previously we could look in the translation dashboard via https://localhost:5042/<locale>/_translation, which can be used to look in which and how many documents haven't been translated or not, and which documents aren't fresh.

But the fred-base frontend doesn't seem have this page. Can't we already look in them?

The translation dashboard wasn't ported to fred, and we believe it should be a separate app.

As a workaround, you should be able to:

1. Checkout mdn/yari
2. Set CONTENT_ROOT and CONTENT_TRANSLATED_ROOT in .env
3. Run yarn install once
4. Run yarn tool:legacy popularities once
5. Run yarn start:legacy
6. Open the dashboard at http://localhost:3000/ja/_translations/dashboard

The yarn start:legacy didn't work, but it became to work after:

mkdir client/build/en-us/404
touch client/build/en-us/404/index.html

I'm leaving this here because it's very old (2021) and the last time I mentioned it was on Matrix when I created the tool (before the translation tool on Yari), it's not entirely accurate (doesn't use sourceCommit, but uses the last edit date) https://tristantheb.github.io/history-content/?lang=ja

The table is updated once a day at ~3:30 a.m. CEST / ~1:30 a.m. GMT (normally it's scheduled for 1:00 a.m., but Github Action takes a while to start the scheduled actions...).

If this old tool can still prove useful :) Personally, I still use it and try to improve it a little from time to time.

Simply change the language (?lang=) to the one you want according to the name of the language folder in the repository. Without the key, it reverts to the default FR folder.
