Find a way to avoid this error:

E484: Cannot open file ~/.vim/private_settings_do_not_commit.vim
Press ENTER or type command to continue

when installing my configuration from scratch. Something along the lines of "source this file only if it exists, and don't whine if it doesn't" (I'm no vimscript expert, obviously, I have to RTFM more, but I'm lazy about this particular issue)
