Wasn't sure about the best way to ask you this, it's not really a bug but I figured this was a more appropriate channel than a post in a subreddit.

I'm assuming you chose CPAL because that's what reddit uses and that you might consider changing the license. Would you consider changing the license? Lowering the barrier to entry is always a good thing for open source projects and using a well known license (pretty much either gpl, bsd/mit or apache) helps. The reason I bring this up is that even though CPAL is an open source (and even free software) license, it's relatively obscure, it has extra clauses (like having to share the source if you allow others to use it) and weak copyleft, it's also not compatible with the gpl if that matters to you.

If you think this is pedantic and unimportant you can close this issue and I'll let it go.

Hi @toonn - I will definitely reconsider the license issue although I would like to make sure that the LICENSE I will choose will make sure that the code stays open source every time it's used. I just think it's the right way going forward.

Atm I am working on something else so will look into this issue in the near future 👍

Thank you! Seems like you want a strong copyleft license, that's where the GPL shines.
