Add disclaimer regarding the routine #39
Comments
Thanks @BullHorn7 for another great contribution. I am thinking whether that should be a simple FAQ with answers/questions for each routine? I am currently adding multiple routines (Molding Mobility, Starting Stretching) and they need something similar too. Nick (/u/Captain_Nachos) is putting a videos together for each progression and routine so that should also help newbies. What do you think? |
I think adding the entire FAQ and RR into the app would be great. Currently the RR is missing and we only have the progressions without the pre-reqs, the cues, etc. The FAQ is well-hidden in the Settings and just opens in the browser, not intuitive nor easy to navigate on a phone. Or maybe a popup that asks something like 'Is this your first time using this app? The routine is based on a program made by /r/bodyweightfitness and has answers to many of your questions, make sure to read the FAQ and check the RR". |
There is a new feature called "introduction" which shows features of the app at the beginning (first launch). Having an FAQ for every routine sounds pretty good and I will try to add it to 1.3.0 release - depends how iOS release will go. Thanks. |
Right now, there is just a link to the bwf faq on reddit. (I'm on 1.3.0.) Was that added because of this? I think it'll be more useful to embed it instead, with a link at the start and/or the end. |
It was there before but there is a plan to make it more accessible to everyone. I haven't got there yet. 👍 |
I spend a lot of time on the subreddit and one of the most common posts we see on a daily basis are people who get the app and try to follow the RR without actually even reading the RR on the subreddit, so there's always a gap in their knowledge which often leads to very dumb questions ('How the hell can I wall-plank for 10 minutes???') or weird injuries because some important cues were missed.
Would be great if there was a disclaimer or other solution to point the users to the sub, or perhaps incorporate the actual text from the RR and FAQ somewhere/somehow into the app.
