Enhanced Error Reporting Screen #12
Comments
Hi Will, thanks for this information, didn't have time to rework my script yet. If you have a solution to configure/supress this dialog. I'm happy to add. Might take a little more time for me to rework my script.(although not tested with Offcie 2019 yet, but should work without ossues when the download links are changed). |
Thank you for putting this nice script together. Unfortunately I haven’t found a way to suppress this dialog. What I did discover is that the dialog only appears with the 16.17 version of Office, which requires a 2019 volume license serializer to license the software. With the 16.16.18091001 version there is no dialog https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=871743
I changed the script to pull from the above link instead of the latest, and hardcoded the version number.
If I find a way to suppress this dialog for the 16.17 version, will be glad to share it.
Thanks again for the useful script

With current version of Office for Mac(16.17), the "Enhanced Error Reporting" Screen will appear when telemetry and first run dialog turned off. Am working on solution, will commit to my fork when when solved. Any input appreciated.
The error screen looks like this for the excel app:
Otherwise, thank you for a most excellent script.
