I am relatively new to this application, but I don't think there is a way to access the 2FA codes from your browser. I think a feature should be added so similar to how password managers allow you autofill passwords, you could autofill tokens so you don't have to leave the browser to copy the token.

Is #234 similar to what you're describing?

Maybe worth noting, if you copy the code in the app and have macOS configured to use "Handoff", the 2FA code is available in your clipboard on your mac.

Yes that was what I was trying to say.

Might be worth keeping the issue open since there's no plan I know of to have #234 shipped.
