SQL script to handle Ateco Italian codes
This repository contains a SQL script of Ateco codes currently present in Italy (updated to 2022).
The Ateco code is an alphanumeric combination that identifies an economic activity. The letters identify the economic macro-sector while the numbers (from two up to six figures) represent, with different degrees of detail, the specific joints and sub-categories of the sectors themselves. From 1 January 2008 the new Ateco 2007 classification is in force, approved by the Istat (Istituto Nazione di Statistica) in close collaboration with the Agenzia delle Entrate, Camere di Commercio and other bodies, ministries and entrepreneurial associations concerned. With the Ateco 2007 codes, the same classification of economic activities for statistical, tax and contributory purposes is therefore adopted, in a process of simplifying the information managed by public administrations and institutions.
